This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough for installing the FGC P5 Plus Frameless Door System. It covers every stage of the process, from initial site preparation and track leveling to the fine-tuned adjustment of glass panels and weather seals.

Installation Overview

The installation of a typical four-panel system generally requires two people and takes approximately four hours to complete. Key requirements include:

• Track Placement: The top track requires a 13/16" - 1" (20-25mm) gap for door pivoting, while the bottom track must sit at least 3/16" (5mm) above the finished floor level to prevent debris ingress.
• Structural Integrity: Installers must ensure all columns and tracks are plumb and level using a laser level, with 5/32" - 3/16" (4-5mm) allowed for thermal expansion.
• Mechanism & Sealing: The system relies on a specific "Top Hat" compression mechanism that must be lubricated with grease and silicone spray during assembly. All structural fixings must be sealed with silicone to prevent water penetration.
• Final Adjustments: The guide details "Heel & Toe" packing methods to ensure panels do not catch on tracks and provides steps for achieving tight compression across all glass panels.
