FGC frameless slide and stack doors - six-panel installation

California, meet the world's only truly frameless exterior door system!

FGC's patented, British-engineered frameless door system is now available across the United States through selected dealers.

We're delighted to announce that FGC has arrived in the United States.

After seventeen years perfecting the world's only truly frameless glass door system, we're bringing our patented British engineering to American homes, commercial spaces, and architect-led projects. Delivered through a carefully selected network of premium US dealers.

Our doors don't just open up a room. They transform it. More light. More glass. More views. The kind of difference you can feel the moment you walk through them.

A patent that eliminates the frame

The frame was never an aesthetic choice. It was always a structural necessity, because the industry had not solved how to bond glass to glass at the edge of a double-glazed unit without putting a piece of aluminum there.

FGC solved it.

The innovation is a glass spacer bar, patented and manufactured in-house, that replaces the aluminum bar every other manufacturer still uses. The effective sightline between panels drops from the 20 to 98 millimeters typical of conventional bifolds and sliders, to zero.

The result is a wall of glass that slides, stacks, and disappears.

Engineered in-house, not assembled

Most "premium" glazing brands assemble their products from commodity parts. Profiles, gaskets, spacer bars, locks, rollers and hinges, sourced from third-party suppliers and combined into a finished product. Multiple brands end up carrying near-identical systems with different logos.

FGC is built differently. Ninety-five percent of its components are designed and manufactured in-house at its Kent factory in the UK. The patented glass spacer bar. The integral roller system that hides in the floor channel. The multi-point compression locking that makes the panels weather and security tight. The structural bonding that replaces visible fixings between panels.

Every component works with every other component. No weak links from third-party parts not designed for this application. One manufacturer, controlling every variable, as a complete engineered system.

Seventeen years in the making

FGC was founded in 2009 with the the P1, introducing the patented glass spacer bar. Patents across the UK, European Union, and Australia followed in 2010. The United States patent was granted in 2012. Each series that followed refined the product: P3 for thermal performance, P5 for compression locking and PAS 24 security accreditation.

In 2025, FGC established its US headquarters in San Diego and appointed Matt Cohen as Head of USA Business Development. North American structural and thermal testing was completed that same year. In April 2026, the company was officially listed as an NFRC-certified manufacturer.

Proven at scale

FGC products are installed across the UK, Europe, and Canada. The commercial portfolio includes Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Aston Martin, Audi, McDonald's, the O2 Arena restaurant, and cruise ship fit-outs. Residential installations range from coastal properties and modern new builds to period conversions and high-specification estates.

Ready for American specification

For architects, code officials, and dealers, the question is always the same. Can this be specified, documented, and approved? As of April 2026, the answer is yes.

FGC is an NFRC-certified manufacturer, with NAFS structural testing completed at Intertek in Fresno. The system is engineered to meet California Title 24, a standard that has effectively ruled out single-glazed frameless alternatives for exterior use. The documentation US specifiers require, including thermal data, structural performance, and air infiltration, is now in place.

Available through a US dealer network

In the United States, FGC does not sell direct. Every installation is delivered through an authorized dealer. A premium glazing company, architectural glass specialist, or window and door business with the craft, the showroom, and the client relationships to represent the product properly.

The network is growing. Dealers receive protected territories, training, marketing support, and a patented product that no competitor can legally offer.

Our US headquarters is at 1111 6th Ave, Suite 550, San Diego, CA 92101. Head of US Business Development is Matt Cohen. For dealer enquiries, contact [email protected] or call +1 858 353 0934.

For architects and homeowners with a project in mind, the same contact routes your enquiry to the nearest dealer.

No frame. More glass. Maximum light.

Seventeen years of engineering. One patented idea. One product no competitor can replicate. Now available across the United States.
